“Garage Workshop” -DG165 (Part 3)

Let’s continue building the last of our furniture pieces.

So the large wooden bench was the most challenging part of this kit for me. It’s a very complex piece of furniture. All of the drawers plus side cabinet are functional. The alignment is difficult to see in the instruction book. I needed to flip things around a couple times.

The large wood bench is the coolest piece of furniture even though it was a challenge.

That where I am at for now.

Wow I love how the draw is actually functional. Over the years of miniature building I actually got people around me to write little notes I would keep sealed inside my kits lol. I like to think of them as little lucky charms or wishes. :pink_heart:

Also I love the warm lighting set up!

Every tool box and cabinet are fully functional besides the red rolling one.

I was almost thinking about if it would be possible to use this set like a crafting caddie for storage of tiny pieces. Once I glue all the cabinets in place.

There is a lot of tiny storage.

That would be an awesome idea! It’ll be working like a true garage.

I sometimes use pill containers to separate and store my little parts.

Would the pill container be big enough to store?

That is a good idea.

That is a good idea. I have things in various containers and tins right now.

I just see a cute drawer and I want to put things in it.

The bench is difficult indeed. I took it apart several times because somehow the drawers were not closing. But is also some if the fun to overcome those moments.

Some of them are quite big I believe. But I generally use them for the very tiny parts, like the tabs for book nooks or random paper cut outs, wires etc. And then it goes into my many containers.

I generally put it in a zip bag that comes with the kits. Some kits doesn’t have them so I tried to save those zip bag most of the time.

Oh that could work! I’m just worried I’ll crush things because it gets chaotic. Also I love stacking my containers. :joy:

When I was building this, I accidentally flipped the bench so the main door is on the right side lol. It’s still OK and functional. I agree it was challenging to assemble.

It’s my favorite piece of furniture in the set despite it being the biggest challenge.
