I was able to finish building the Treasure Tray and I love how it turned out!
My first impression when I received the kit was that it felt very heavy. I was worried that the finished build would have the same weight, but thankfully, the tray’s weight is just right, not too heavy and not too light. It feels sturdy and well-made.
The design is straightforward and easy to assemble. One thing I really like is that you can customize it with your preferred colors to make it more personalized.
This tray comes with four drawers that are useful for storing small pieces. Two of the drawers are fully removable, while the other two can only be opened but not completely taken out.
There are also 12 compartments for the wooden pallets, which can be customized with labels from A to Z. Two of these compartments can be removed if you need more space for larger items.
Additionally, there are two open drawers that can hold loose parts or other tools. It even has a built-in ruler that can be used for quick measuring.
It even includes a cellphone holder, which is perfect if you like watching videos while building.
I also love the side pockets that can be used to store tools, as well as the Rolife notebook included in the kit.
Another cute detail is the addition of these little signs and symbols.
The base of the tray is another feature that impressed me. It was clearly designed to make the tray as stable as possible. Hopefully, once all the wooden pieces are placed inside, it will hold everything securely.
The handles are really life-saver. I usually bring my in-progress kits up and down and this will be tested through time.
At the front, it also says “Rolife” and “ROKR”. However, on my tray, the “ROKR” logo cannot be completely seen. I’m not sure if I made a mistake during assembly because I triple-checked everything and even asked my husband if I had done something wrong. He thinks that the wooden pieces may not be perfectly aligned, which is why the last “R” in “ROKR” is hidden even when adjusted all the way to the left. If anyone else has built this kit, please let me know if you experienced the same thing or if it’s only happening with mine.
During the build, we had visitors with kids and they absolutely loved the moving gears. They kept playing with them! It can actually serve as a fun little fidget feature whenever you’re stuck or taking a break from building.
As for the dimensions, I measured it and it is roughly 12 x 16 x 5.5 inches.
I will definitely start using it and will get back to you all with my thoughts after some time.
Again, thank you, Robotime, for being so generous!
