The build didn’t always go smoothly sadly.
I attempted to glue to paper to the frame but it didn’t work out, so I painted it. The frame is a bit rough in parts because of the dried glue.
Overall, the build took me about 20 hours.
Considering I pulled this kit out because I thought it would be quick, it certainly proved me wrong.
But, it is so different.
It even has a stand in the back to stand it up.
I didn’t string the lights through and there are mistakes in it, but overall I really like it.
I think it turned out nice!
And honestly, 20 hours is impressive for a “quick” build
and that’s probably because of the paper that didn’t cooperate.
It turned out beautiful. And I think 20 hrs is great for a kit like this. I love street scenes and this one is very pretty.
It turned out beautiful. thanks for share
I like those plants/vines strung around the houses. Very cute touch! Kind of gives it an ocean view feel to it
Wow those are so nice. Similar to the Painted Ladies homes in San Francisco. Great job!
wow! its amazing!! you did amazing
reminds me of the street in Mrs. Doubtfire ![]()
I love the bright colors on these homes. There are so many cute details here…the little car, mailbox and lamppost are my favorites.
Honestly, 20 hours for a kit you thought would be a quick project is quite the surprise! But I love that you kept going despite the little setbacks. The stand at the back is such a unique feature, and even with the mistakes and unfinished lighting, it sounds like you’re really happy with how different it turned out. That’s what matters most! ![]()
Sometimes the builds that look like quick projects surprise us! Twenty hours later, you still ended up with something unique and beautiful, and that’s what matters most.
So pretty! Reminds me of a place I visited with those victorian houses. Love how you matched the colors. They blend in perfectly.
Wow these look amazing!
Very nice work @Suzanne_Jones . It’s reminds me of Brighton in Victoria.
It’s a very pretty and cheerful kit!
You made this look so beautiful! It feels like a quiet little street glowing in the evening sunset.
I really like it, too. I think the paint gives it more of a kind of weathered feel, so I think it really works well. It’s beautiful!
YES! I knew they reminded me of something, thank you!
It is beautiful! I would get this kit if I could!
You did very well @Suzanne_Jones!
I love the colors and I love the houses. And the cute car that is parked on the side ![]()
Thanks so much @Gidge.
20 hours is a bit of time but I’ve spent longer on other kits.
