Good morning,
Thanks for popping in for a visit. The kettle has just boiled and I’ve made a pot of tea @JDisaduck
Come into the lounge room (living room). This is my comfy place and retreat. Sit down and make yourself at home while we chat! Oh! I’ve dropped my glasses, can you pick them up for me please?
Let’s talk about the journey….
I wanted to create a space that reflects me. Believe me when I tell you that my lounge room here is NOTHING like this.
I actually love that Rolife has so many details in their builds that can be customised. I kept many things in, such as the scissors, the vase, the little bottles and the record in the sleeve.
I almost changed the date on the record to reflect my birth year but thought it would make too much of a mess.
The first thing I changed out was the wallpaper. Yellow really ain’t my colour.
I’m a mix of old and new in my life so having the old fashioned wallpaper really feels me!
I painted the furniture white and black. I love the look of this but don’t have anything in my house like that lol
I added touches of purple and lavender (my favourite colour).
I replaced the pictures with some of my AI art that I have produced and really like. (I don’t sell it or anything, I just enjoy the process).
I put in a gold fish bowl. I’ve had lots of fish over the years but now our fish live in ponds outside.
I love to read so the book on the couch is a reflection of that.
The cat is a poor copy of my Smudge. Smudge is purring on the couch behind me right now.
I changed out the throw for a ‘quilt’. I have quilts in my couch here.
And, although I enjoy a glass of wine (not red), I am a tea aficionado. The little pot looks exactly like the one I inherited from my grandmother. Unfortunately, it is a bit heavy and the table is light. I need to take care with it.
I love plants and flowers but my husband is the green thumb. I keep fake flowers and plants inside the house. That way I get the vibe without the hassle of keeping them alive ![]()
I did have a mishap!
As I was putting things in place, I knocked the chandelier and broke it. So, I sat holding the piece in place for 5 minutes until the glue set to repair it.
If I had one complaint about the kit, it is that the chandelier is put in too early and it does get in the way a lot.
So, now I’m finished.
I have a huge stash to choose from for my next build.
My husband asked me last night why I have so many? I told him that I get them for a good price sometimes or I’ve received freebies on some Temu promotions. He just sighed ha ha
Finally, my January introduction prize arrived!
Meet Honeydew! (I believe she is a cantaloupe
