[DIY & Creativity] Rowood Wooden Flower Basket Complete

I have finished this beautiful basket of flowers over the weekend and let me share with you how it went.

In my last post, I have shared that I was able to complete 3 out of 5 flowers in 2 hours. The estimate completion time based on the kit says 3.5 hours, so let’s see if I’ll be able to complete it within the said time frame.

For this session, I started with the Red Rose. In my thoughts, this would be easy because I have already built one before.

But no, I manage to break one of the petal supports  good thing there’s one spare for it.

And it took me 40 minutes to complete it. Longer than expected

Last to build is the silver bow and two stems of eucalyptus.

I thought this was easy since there won’t be any petals involved but I’m wrong again. I had a hard time pushing those little leaves onto its slots. My thumb also started to feel numb.

These took me more than an hour to make :joy: so No, I didn’t meet the deadline hahaha

Now that I know I didn’t quite made the time frame, I stopped checking the time and just enjoyed the process.

This will be the base for the flowers. There are a lot of extra slots so you can actually add more flowers and greens if you have want.

I love this part of the build where you get to arrange the flowers.

Next, we fold the basket where the base will go. You get to choose between cream or blue gray. I chose Blue Gray.

I love how this flower basket turned out. I think it’s such a beautiful gift to give for any occasion, most especially for Mother’s day :heart::heart:

Oh @Jill_Francisco, after my recent experience with the Blooming Book for which I already had to craft some eucalyptus, I totally feel you there. Those petals were hard even to push them out of the sheets! But you’ve done a GREAT job with the Basket. I’ll be building it next week in advance for that Saturday hosting my Meetup! So I’ll let you know how my experience with this one goes. Thanks for your review!

It’s great that they’re giving more space for flowers, or simply to arrange it as one prefers.

It’s cool that you can arrange the flowers however you like. I may have to get this for my mom for Mother’s Day. She loves flowers but they always die. I got her some Lego flowers one year and now they are on display on a shelf.

I think the time written on the kits are not mostly true based on my experience or am I just a slow builder? The wooden flowers are beautiful. It’s the best gift for loved ones since it will not fade forever. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
