This Sakura series was already so beautiful on its own — a tiny train moving through cherry blossoms inside a vintage TV, complete with lights and music. Halfway through building it, I suddenly had the idea to turn it into a little “Keung To version” so I slowly added details and elements I love. I’m honestly so happy with how this tiny world turned out.
Even though I couldn’t go back to Hong Kong this year or visit “Keung To Bay,” working on this piece somehow filled a little bit of that missing feeling
For those who duno about Keung To. He is a member of a Hong Kong boy band named “Mirror”. Every year around Keung To’s birthday, fans gather in Causeway Bay to celebrate together, wait for the birthday tram, exchange gifts, and simply enjoy the happy atmosphere together. Even watching from overseas through everyone’s photos and videos still makes me feel part of it.
Also realized something funny — the Rolife cat music box I bought years ago was Sakura-themed too
Hi @Kycso, turning Sakura Dreamy Tour into your own Keung To Bay is such a heartfelt idea. I love how the tiny scene helped you feel connected to Hong Kong from overseas, and the personal details make it feel truly yours.
Ooh the Keung To’s birthday get together is such an adorable idea!! Manifesting that you can attend it next year ❥ also for your sakura and Keung To collection to only get bigger and beautiful
Aww thank you so much
This miniature honestly became really personal to me while building it. Turning Sakura Dreamy Tour into my own little Keung To Bay somehow made me feel closer to Hong Kong from overseas. I’m so happy you could feel the love behind all the tiny details
