I finished building the beautiful Japanese Wagashi Shop Hanamiya and I absolutely love how it turned out! This has to be one of the prettiest storefronts I have ever built so far
The cherry blossom tree across the front of the shop immediately stole my heart and I loved all the tiny details tucked into every corner. From the cute teapot set to the adorable shopkeeper, lucky cat and even the little cat walking across the rooftop
One of my favorite details has to be the tiny wagashi display case and the beautiful floral tea set tucked inside the shop. They make the whole scene feel so warm and inviting
To make this build feel even more magical, I added my own personal touch by gluing 3D cherry blossom flowers all around the roof and walkway. I wanted it to feel like petals had just fallen during peak sakura season and I’m so happy with how much extra depth and color they added. I love adding little personal touches to my miniatures and the extra 3D cherry blossoms made this kit feel even more like my own
This wasn’t the quickest build because there are so many tiny details to assemble but every step was relaxing and completely worth it. The only challenge I ran into was getting the roof to sit properly at first. It took a little patience and a few adjustments but once everything clipped into place, it fit perfectly!
Once I turned on the lights, the whole shop came to life and gave off such a cozy evening glow. The warm lighting shining through the windows makes it feel like a peaceful little wagashi shop
Now this cozy little wagashi shop is ready to join my growing Japanese miniature street and I think it’s going to fit in beautifully! Every new addition adds another little story to my display and I can’t wait to watch the collection continue to grow
What detail catches your eye first: the cherry blossoms, the rooftop cat, or all the tiny wagashi treats?
@Cozy.little.palette it’s stunning like usual Thinks it my favorite in terms of character. It looks tactile. As if you could step in and be a part of the tiny world. The blossoms are what caught my eye first but the little character makes me smile.
Your Japanese street series is so much fun to watch! And thisss has got to be my favorite build out of the whole series so far it’s super adorable, and the 3D details you added fit the overall vibe perfectly
Aw thank you so much! It’s definitely my favorite in terms of Character too! I wish I could be part of that tiny world, it looks so cozy and peaceful! I’m really glad I added the blossoms She is just too cute
Aww thank you! I’m so glad you think so This one turned out really cute! I was nervous to add the flowers but it turned out perfect honestly. I’m super proud of it. Thank you again
It is ssssooooo beautiful! Really! Wow!
I think I have always mentioned this on all your posts, I so love this series! You have an awesome collection going on!
@Cozy.little.palette Hanamiya looks so warm with the lights on, and the 3D cherry blossoms around the roof and walkway are a beautiful personal touch. The rooftop cat and tiny wagashi case really make the shop feel like part of your growing Japanese street.
@Grey74 that “tiny world you could step into” description captures this build beautifully. The added blossoms really do make Hanamiya feel more tactile and story-like.
