For me, I like the first one since I like to keep things simple for this one but the final decision is still yours.

The idea of plain wood with a bit of color is really nice. I made the treasure box too and made it blue and gold.

It looks very good in blue! I have chosen blue as well. But only some edges and the number dial for now.
