As I finished my owl clock last night, it’s time to think about my next kit. This week I got this five-storied pagoda as my March Leaderboard prize.
I have just unpacked it: 11 little wooden boards with miniature parts. I want to start building right away!
But I already got the question: ‘Are you going to paint it?’
Well technically I don’t have any actual paint, so I wouldn’t describe whatever I’m doing as painting. But yes, I want to add some color with the acrylic markers I got.
For inspiration, I have asked chatGPT to give me some suggestions. And I got this:
I agree. I’ve chosen the colors that look the most like the first suggestion. The exact ones I don’t have unfortunately. So I hope the end result will be nice.
Thank you! I did choose that first one as my definitive suggestion. So I searched for colors that were looked like those the most in my box of markers. Hopefully the end result will look like that one.
Yes, you should test your paint or markers and select the colors you want to use before. As a little tip: try on a piece of leftover wood. You get an idea of how the color will look on your kit.
I have just posted my first update about the pagoda. I’m not entirely sure about the red I used. I wanted it to be a more brownish red, but unfortunately I don’t have that kind of color in my box of markers.
So this one will have to do. And I’m sure I can be satisfied with it in the end result
