DIY & Crafting Club meetup 02 section 3

I had the privilege of hosting a DIY & Crafting Club meetup in Pierceton, Indiana. This is the first of three meetups that I’m hosting this month.
It turned out to be a small group, but it was really nice to be able to sit with the attendees and get to know them. None of them were familiar with miniature builds, so it was a successful introduction for them. They all had a great time and couldn’t wait to work on their builds at home.
This meetup was held in an eclectic type of establishment that has a store in the front when you walk in the door, and it has seating in the back for the restaurant. The vibe is electric and the music playing was 80’s rock or older, so I felt right at home.
I’m really used to having women interested in this hobby, but this was the first time I had a male attendee. I am so excited to be able to share this hobby with all genders and see the smiles on their faces.
The next meetup at this venue will be a fundraiser for a local charity, so I’m looking forward to helping the community in that way. I absolutely love that Robotime, through this miniature hobby is impacting people and communities in such a positive and meaningful way. Thank you, @Robotime for blessing me and the community where I live with such a great way to build relationships and spend quality time with others.

There weren’t many, but if they had a good time, that’s what matters.

What a great venue! It looks very summery and cozy. It looks like your meetup was a success; everyone looks happy, and I think they had a great time. It’s also really cool that they weren’t familiar with Robotime packages yet.

What a beautiful meetup, Tina. I love that it was a small group, sometimes those are the most special because you really get to connect. And how amazing to introduce this hobby to new people (and your first male attendee too!!). You’re building such a lovely little community there :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
