Completed - Mini Town book nook (not Rolife)

It’s finally done! It took me a bit to do, but the concept is so stinkin’ cute! This book nook is made to look like a shopping bag and the inside details are made to resemble every day items or things found in trash. Like a can opened to reveal a person popping out of it. Paperclips that are used as fence-railings. Pop can tabs uses to hand things. A screw became a table. At first glance I thought the ladybug was too big, but it’s meant to be that way because the town is supposed to be miniature. The drum set is made out of metal nuts and a metal cap. It is sitting on top of a coffee cup lid.

The ladybug moves around by rotating wheels on both sides of the book nook. The cafe turns in circles, and the door can be opened and closed by turning a wheel outside.

The person that pops out of the can is done by sliding coffee beans on the outside of the book nook.

View from the top and sides

This build has great instructions and everything went together as expected. It’s a really fun theme and colorful. I enjoyed this one and would recommend it to anyone who would like this style.

I love all of these details if i bought this kit i wouldnt add the handbag straps :face_holding_back_tears: its just not for me.

Glad you enjoyed the kit!

@Alicesharpe it is supposed to be a shopping bag..:if you don’t attach the straps it would take away from the theme IMO.
There is also plain wood under the top nds of the straps, so if you don’t use them you would have to either paint or cover them up some other way.

@Tkaplan wow!! Jaw hit the floor how detailed and cool this is. You did amazing!!!

This looks simply amazing. It’s like it’s a setting for a fantasy novel where little people live right under our noses, using our waste to build their lives.

@Anje_Leonoza_Mira I’m not sure I would want to try carrying it. The straps are just attached with glue.
