[Collection] New product: Microscope

Another super cool build but I have no more space to store all my builds in our house. What to do? :joy:

me too. But I couldn’t resist.

I am thinking since they had the telescope work, this will as well. Maybe not the super magnification but still! Enjoy!

This one looks great. It went straight on my wish list, so I will be definitely making this one someday.

Microscope magnification is fully dependant on the lense. The top one from the picture is a classic x10 and the bottom ones given the color coding, I think are x4 (red), x10 (yellow) and x40 (blue).
Combined it’s 40, 100 and 400 magnifying, which are the classics for beginner microscope.

And if the lenses can be switched out, you might even be able to buy lenses heads for even better magnification.

I’m a lot more interested in the focus gear mechanism, that’s the part that need incredible precision because if you can’t move the microscope shaft up and down to the milimeter, focusing it becomes a nightmare.

I got a model of working wooden microscope, the only one I could find existing (Mr Plywood brand) but it’s a massive chonky thing, with a single x4 lens and the focus gear is imprecise. (which is probably why it only has x4 lens, easier focus even with imprecise gear).

But knowing how Rokr does thing I have much much greater hope for this one!

So so excited for it!

ThaoNguyen, we love how this microscope brought back school and lab memories for so many people. The excitement around the lenses and focus mechanism is wonderful to see.
