[Collection] Another of my hobbies: collecting gachapon 🔴🟠🟡🟢🔵

Another one of my big Japanese passions is gachapon machines.

I don’t know if you’re familiar with them, but they’re machines that basically have collections of all kinds.

I’m especially drawn to the mini food ones, haha.

Unfortunately, I’ve had everything in boxes for months; finding a new home is a risky business.

But I hope I can show you everything better when I live in my new home and put it on a shelf.

We have a version of these in the UK. You usually find them outside of Small shops

Yes?
We have them in Barcelona, but not at the level I’ve seen in Japan.

They create everything there, especially in miniature: food from well-known brands, accessories, etc. They have everything you can imagine!

I don’t know about these things. But they seem fun

Wow, you didn’t know about it?

It’s super popular in Japan, they’re everywhere. There are entire buildings just made up of these machines, haha, although luckily they’re cheap in Japan.

I always get food, haha.

As soon as I can move in, I can’t wait to show you all.

In Japan it’s completely different.

You see children buying things from the machines, but adults are the ones who buy the most.

Hahaha, you have to go to understand it, right?

Wow! I’m also collecting gashapons too. Are you throwing away the eggshells? My gashapon collections are inside the boxes too since I’m planning to display them when I’ve moved to my own house soon.

Exactly! Hahaha, you know what I mean.

Well, in Japan they sell boxes specifically for all the gacha items!

For charms, figurines, badges, cards!

I bought several different ones, but since I’m moving, they’re still in the boxes. As soon as I have a new place, I’ll take pictures and post them here in case you’re interested!

In Japan, they throw eggshelss in a little basket, I keep mine to protect the porridge, hahaha

Right?

It’s a very interesting world, since there are gachapons of all kinds! Anything you can imagine exists in gachapon form, and there are limited editions.

I do not think I have really ever seen. We have what we call gumball machines here and some have little miniature toys and stuff. (not all are candy). But now I will pay more attention to see.

Pay special attention to whether they’re Japanese; those are the ones that are truly interesting.

Although very few reach other countries, they’re generally all in Japan.
