It wasn’t really all that bad but there were some moments.
This was the kit that was my next build.
It started off well, making lots of little items to go inside - a mix of 2D and 3D. It was fun.
Things started to take a wrong turn when I was putting walls on and hooking up the lighting.
One wall refused to go on properly.
Realised that one of the 2D wall posters was stopping it, so took off the wall and removed it. It took off a bit of the wallpaper but it’s not seen in the final build.
The wall still wouldn’t fit in.
At this stage I decided to call it a night.

Let’s come back with fresh eyes and more patience tomorrow.

I pulled most of the build apart, including the lighting. I had one piece in upside down and fixed that. But the wall still would not go on properly. I removed all 3D items and put them away for another build one day where they will be better seen.
And then it was complete. And I was happy.

So, the Pros and Cons of the build.
Pros
- Good quality wood that is easy to work with
- Good mix of 4D and 2D objects
- It’s different to a lot of other builds in style
- The lighting is cool - a combination of strip lighting, normal lights, and colour change LEDs
- The flowers were easy to make
- It looks great completed
Cons - The battery box kept falling out during the build because there is no latch on the door
- It took a lot of sanding and waxing at times
- Some parts required gluing in because they were too loose
- The placement of the 2D items should have been marked on the wall where to place so that it wouldn’t impede the wall placement later
- The stickers that are the awnings keep peeling off
Overall, I love this build and it’s going into my keeper pile.
After this, I did two music builds that I will share in another post later today.
