[Challenge & Achievement] Red Camellia Flower 🌺

I thought I’ll be over making flowers but I was wrong. I’ve decided to open my Red Camellia flower that my partner had given to me last Valentine’s Day. I just thought that I would love to display it with my other model kits on my first meetup event if ever.

I’ve managed to make a little progress since I found it difficult at first to insert the wooden pieces right. After this, I’m thinking to build the kit that is on the way to deliver tomorrow. Yay and I really hope so since I’m excited to receive the new kit. That’s all for now. Thanks for reading. :pink_heart:

They’re gorgeous!

The only thing I’m not convinced about is the base they use.

I have found that sticking pennies into the vase will make it a little more sturdy

Whenever I am struggling to get pieces in I always lightly sand and or wax the part to be inserted. It certainly helps a lot to prevent breakage

Beautiful! I look forward to seeing you finish this.
So lucky that we have supportive partners, right? :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

The flowers are gorgeous! I can’t wait to see you done it

I enjoyed the camellia once I figured it out. It really is quite pretty.

Hope you new kit arrives in time!

I haven’t tried this kind of kit from rolife yet. I hope this is not as hard as building paper flowers from kits like Cathy’s Flower House :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Your progress on the Red Camellia flower is truly inspiring, especially overcoming the tricky wooden piece placement. It’s lovely that you want to showcase it alongside your other kits at your first meetup event. I’m excited for you to receive your new kit and can’t wait to see what you create next!

I believe this was the first Rowood flower I made and my thumbs got really sore from pushing the petals in. So watch out for that. You need to apply just the right amount of pressure so as not to break it

But this will look lovely once done

I see you’re definitely joining me in the flower making expertee

Will be following your job on this! Rowood flowers are usually nice and quick to build.

Thank you. Yes, it’s beautiful. Why? You don’t like the base of the flower?

Thanks a lot for the advice. I appreciate it a lot. I just find it hard to fit the woods right at the beginning unlike the other flowers that you can easily find the hole for a certain wood.

Thank you. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::pink_heart: Yes, it will look lovely after it’s completed.

I think you can purchase the bouquet one instead of buying one by one. I think you’ll save a lot of money if you will purchase them in a set.

Hahaha oh my! We have the same experience. I’m having a hard time at the beginning. I can’t find the right hole for the wood but the petals are easier to connect.
