I got this kit as part of Cutebee’s mystery box sale they had going on. Honestly this isn’t something I would normally get as it’s kinda not in my wheelhouse. But wow, it blew me away! Sooo many details going on in here! I haven’t built a kit with this many small details in a while and I loved every part of it.
The instructions were.. instructions lol. Most were good, some were bad. I wish they could have added directions for the orientation of pieces. Many times I had to guess and figure it out myself.
A lot of edge painting on this one with all the small parts. I did use my new Sharpie acrylic markers on this one until I couldn’t find a color that was needed and had to go out and find the color I needed.
But I enjoy the surprise of this kit It evokes an old timey feel, that you don’t see in a lot of kits. The antique colors are muted and have an aged style to them. The lighting and the atmosphere are cozy and inviting. Honestly the character in the middle doesn’t really fit and I debated on leaving her in there. But I left it in for now. Pics also for those who can’t get into YouTube but if you can be sure to like, and subscribe!!
@Grey74 i think its great the outside casing is beautiful… its packed with some lovley details ! The books the lamp … to the teacup its fab! You done a great job the character is cute but not sure on her either but shes pretty ! Im glad you found the coulor you needed !
@Grey74 this mystery-box surprise sounds like a real win—the tiny details, edge painting, and all that orientation detective work clearly made it memorable. The finished antique shop has so much character, especially for a kit that was outside your usual wheelhouse.
It gives this old yet calm vibes. I like that there are so many details they tried to put in this one. Look at the frames, balustrades, wallpaper!
You did great @Grey74 ! What’s next?
This has an old timey feel to it. I agree that the little girl doesn’t really fit. Maybe if she wore more
muted colours? But it’s a pretty nice nook overall. Great work on the edge colouring.
