Today i spent about 4 hours completing the tower of the landing platform. Like somebody warned us earlier some parts are quite delicate and hard to put in place. But this kit doesn’t have a high difficulty level for nothing. When everything was put together i hit a mayor problem. After flipping the switch the lights didnt light up. The final light on the string got stuck and had a break in it. I had to take the top part apart and rewire the string. The last liggt fel off the string and i thought it would probably be broken and i would have to start from scratch but after the light fel off the string lit up and i put the top back together. I flipt the switch and the light went on. I clickt the swith and the arms and rails moved as it should. I’m so happy. Now on to the shuttle itself.
Oh the pressure of turning that switch for the first time
im so glad you got it all sorted out! 4 hours i feel like is fast?
Wow, what a journey! Glad you managed to fix the wiring and get everything working, that must feel so satisfying. Now good luck with the shuttle!!
I can’t wait to get that far. I did finally get my lampboard to work so I am to the point of finishing up my electrical. So glad your lights worked out for you.
Hi @Jerry_Boswijk
I’d love to know how you feel every time you switch on the string lights. And how did it feel the first time you were about to finish your first challenging ROKR kit? ![]()
Perfect score for this wallpaper!!!
OMG!! Space shuttle, let it fly, fly!!!
Really admire your dedication — tackling challenges day by day is what makes building ROKR so rewarding!
That sounds like such a rollercoaster of emotions!
It must have been so frustrating when the light didn’t work, but you handled it perfectly. You must be very proud when the light works. Can’t wait to see your progress on the shuttle itself!
You showed me the spirit of facing challenges head-on. Isn’t it solemn to say that? This also makes us better. ![]()
I really admire the way you kept going with this build. You can really feel the ups and downs in your description, and it makes the final result even more meaningful. That landing platform looks amazing ![]()
. ROKR builds always test our patience, but finishing them brings such a rewarding sense of achievement!
That’s awesome!
Even with the wiring trouble, you fixed it and got the lights working — so satisfying!
Can’t wait to see the shuttle on top.
Wow, what a journey! Seriously impressed by your patience and skills—taking apart and rewiring the lights sounds like a major hurdle, but you totally nailed it! ![]()
That moment when everything finally works is just the best feeling ever, right? That’s exactly why we love building ROKR kits: the challenges make the victory even sweeter!
So happy it all came together in the end. Can’t wait to see the shuttle take shape—you’ve got this! ![]()

Woohoo
What a journey — from delicate pieces to rewiring under pressure… and you pulled through like a pro! Stories like yours are exactly why we love building ROKR kits — it’s not just about the finished piece, but the focus, the emotion, and that unbeatable feeling of I did it! ![]()
Wow, you’re really amazing! I totally agree — every time I finish building one of these kits, the feeling of joy is truly unmatched. ![]()
you totally nailed why we’re so into ROKR/Rolife kits too—it’s all about that feeling of pushing through a challenge and coming out proud on the other side. There’s nothing like the mix of focus, excitement, and satisfaction that comes with bringing each piece together ![]()
