I was determined last tonight… and I finished the Daily Fresh Flower frame series, and I absolutely love how it turned out!
This one took me around 4 hours to complete… although I have to admit that at least 30 minutes of that was spent fighting with the battery pack. I accidentally inserted it the wrong way, and it became completely wedged in the back. Getting it back out was one of the most frustrating miniature moments I’ve ever had—I seriously wanted to rip my hair out.
So, friendly warning to anyone building this kit: double-check the battery pack orientation before pushing it all the way in! Trust me, you’ll thank yourself later.
It’s definitely not a perfect build. There are a couple of little mistakes that only I will probably notice, but I still poured my heart into this one, and that’s what matters. After taking a break from building for a while, it felt so nice to sit down, slow down, and create something again.
I also really love how different this Frame Series is from my other Robotime builds. It’s such a unique little display piece, and I’m so happy to add it to my growing collection.
I had to laugh at the battery pack story because that sounds like one of those moments that feels impossible while it’s happening. Thanks for sharing the warning too, that’s the kind of tip that can save someone else a lot of frustration. I think it turned out beautifully, and I really like how the Frame Series has such a different look from the other ROBOTIME kits.
Oh, that’s a shame about the battery! Personally, I’d prefer them all to run on a Type-C cable—it’s more convenient—or at least have that option when buying one.
I think that we pour our hearts into our builds so much that they become a part of our story.
This is great. I’m glad you sorted out the battery pack issue though and the frame is finished.
Congratulations on finishing it! Reading about the battery pack made me smile because I can completely picture how frustrating that must have been. Thanks for sharing the tip too. I’m sure it’ll save someone else from the same struggle. And honestly, the little imperfections are part of what makes every handmade build unique. It sounds like this one was well worth the effort.
I think we’ve all had those same builds… the ones that evoke a tiny moment of rage. I am so happy to see that you were able to work it out in the end. You did a lovely job.
