One of my first builds. I painted the treasure chest blue with gold to give it a classy look.
The paint I used was a cheap acrylic paint. After 3 layers of paint the wood is not fully coverd. Recently I have been using more expensive acrylic paint. This paint is covers the wood after 1-2 layers. I might repaint the treasure chest in the future.

Hi! You’re absolutely right. You can really tell the difference when you use good-quality paint compared to cheaper or lower-quality ones.
My problem is that I either don’t have the patience to wait before applying the next layer, or the paint dries too fast and it feels like you can see multiple layers even when it’s just one.

@Wenbare true! I can never wait for the paint to dry completely. Usually when I have painted a piece including the edges the beginning is already quite dry, so I can paint over it again
Yes! The problem is when you think it’s already dry… and not!
