After getting to attend the Rolife Anniversary event yesterday, we started the drive back home to Indiana. We only drove 6 1/2 hours today, but I couldn’t sleep…so what did I do? Yep, you guessed it! I got out a kit the Rolife so generously gave me to build a review. I decided that making all of the books for Pagestory Books would pass the time wonderfully. Pennsylvania was so beautiful that I did spend a lot of time taking in the scenery.
Tomorrow we will drive the remaining 4 hours to get home, so maybe I’ll be able to get some more items done. It’s so fun to be able to build even when I’m not at home!
How about you, do you take builds with you to work on when you’re away from home?
Wow! This is so me! I always bring something to do that doesn’t require gluing and cutting on my trips. Keep my hands busy while on the go. Thanks for sharing and have fun with this kit.
Sometimes I bring some of the easier littler builds to work on slow nights!
My dad had open heart surgery a couple of months ago…I took a build with me to the hospital to pass the time. LOL
this hobby has kept me away from computer and phone screen time. I used to do movie marathons, now, all I can think of is doing kits hahaha
@Vangie , I can totally relate…same for me!
Am I the only one who just wants to sleep whenever I’m traveling?
Bringing a little build along for the journey sounds like such a great idea, but the moment I lean back in my seat, I’m out. I just want to wake up and magically be at my destination. ![]()
Well, usually I am the driver, so no…but I always have one to do when I get to where I am going.
great idea. I get carsick, so I only sleep when I’m in the car.
I probably wouldn’t be able to build in the car because I’m afraid I would lose some pieces. Maybe if I was very careful and brought something I could work on.
I can handle knitting and crochet in the car, but for me personally, the risk of losing tiny things in car crevices and not being able to get them out is… present
.
I wish I could do the same. It’s just that i could be so clumsy at times so I wouldn’t even dare ![]()
a lot of book but à beautiful end than
Making books while being chauffeured home. That is a very smart use of your time. Enjoy.
Wow, building in the car! Haha, I love it! I couldn’t do that—I get carsick.
Oh wow @Tkaplan ! You are wonderful! I cant imagine driving for 6 1/2 hours!
Don’t you get dizzy building while in motion? I think I would. ![]()
@Robotime Haha…yes, I usually get really sleepy in a car, but I was so excited after the event this weekend that I had too much brain activity going on to sleep. ![]()
I’m sure the long drive back home would become so much more interesting with this beautiful kit.
@Tkaplan ive not taken a kit away with me but I may this year just a mini one to do in the evenings ![]()
I love this - that’s absolute dedication and I applaud you for it ![]()
