Spent the afternoon with fellow Rolife fans at the Robotime community meetup last May 9. I had an amazing time meeting more fellow hobbyists and creators. It was inspiring to see everyone’s unique Rolife creations at the show and tell (I had the opportunity to share 2 of my most recent works), hear their stories, and bond over a shared love for miniature worlds and hands-on creativity.
For this meetup, I was able to start working on the Glittering Water Lily - a first Rowood kit for me - and I do admit that this was quite challenging.
After the first water lily was completed, it became more exciting since I really wanted to complete it right there and then. But with the time limit, I knew it was somehow impossible.
Sometimes hobbies feel personal and quiet, so it’s really special to discover a community of people who enjoy the same little details, challenges, and joy of building. Left the meetup feeling inspired, happy, and excited for future projects.
Those flowers are beautiful. Glad you could enjoy a meetup from @Jill_Francisco . I think it’s nice if you can meet people from the community in person.
the water lily kit is absolutely mesmirizing!! and this meetup looks specially fun (a challenge for someone like me who doesn’t really enjoy speaking before a crowd) but nevertheless I’d like to attend a meetup once (specially one jill’s bcs they always look extra fun from the venues to everything) because as you said bonding with other people who share your hobbies is unmatchable
Hi po! It was nice meeting you! Hope to see you again!
Thanks for the tip about the pandesal. I will try it out soon!
Can I see the pic of the spanish bread po? So curious.
I wish i had the courage to speak in front of a much larger crowd next time, promise. But, thank you for encouraging me to share my builds. It’s a waste to have so much and not be able to share it with others.
Hi @joy.licerio. nice meeting you . I haven’t tried the spanish bread but it’s the same as making the pan de sal, just make it long. What i made was ‘kalihim’ / pan de red. I also made leche flan for another kit though it doesn’t look appetizing.
