When I first started this hobby, I never thought I’d get sooo hooked. But eventually, I realized there are many people who appreciate the beauty of miniatures but don’t have the patience or skill to make them. That’s when I saw how perfect they were as heartfelt gifts for the people I care about, and I decided to start customizing them with lots of love.
I’ve built many kits especially for my grandmother and my mother (in fact, my grandmother keeps asking me for new ones as if I could finish them in five minutes!), but the one I’m showing you now is a very special one.
I made it as a birthday gift for a friend. She’s been working in the publishing industry for years, but recently achieved one of her dreams — she now runs her own company, a publishing house for children’s books and picture books. That’s what makes this kit so special: every book in this tiny bookstore was either edited by her or belongs to her publishing house. I also changed the signs to Catalan, since she publishes a lot in that language, and I added cats — which she absolutely loves.
She liked it so much that she keeps the kit in her office at the publishing house, and yes, it’s one of the kits I’ve felt most satisfied building!
