I would recommend you search cuckoo clock as a few of us have done this and I am sure there are some tips! I remember one of the earlier steps with the cuckoo. Pay close attention to placing that spring. Also important are the little clips you will place by the door of cuckoo.

Finally when testing, pay attention to the steps and what you push and how many times to make things happen.
