Perhaps I should be most impressed by this moment: A · Spring Cleaning I am Vietnamese and also Asian. Therefore, we almost always have Lunar New Year, and cleaning to welcome the new year with family is almost a must.
This is quite tiring and daunting… However, after it’s finished, we can enjoy precious time and reunite with the whole family. Something we look forward to most in the year.
This spring we are going to Paris with friends. We live in France and they live in the Netherlands, so we will meet there.
Although it’s going to be more like a weekend, this will be our Spring Day trip and we are really looking forward to this.
My friend is very good in sewing, knitting etc and she wants to visit the Lill Weasel shop in the Grand Cerf Arcade. I will go there with her, though I’m completely not into anything with wool, threads, buttons etc.
The boys will certainly go for a cup of coffee with a lovely patisserie while they wait for us to leave the shop.
And I can already see them sitting here, enjoying the beautiful entourage of a real Paris Arcade, watching people, eating a delicious piece of cake.
Can’t wait to go!
Now that spring break is over, most of my days this spring will once again revolve around obligations both personal and professional. However, I still intend to make time for D · Day Trips in Spring. I have plans to visit the beach for clamming, go hiking on some of the local trails, and even attend a cousin’s wedding.
I unfortunately have built one kit that feels at home with the floral themes of spring, but I believe it confers a sense of possibility and adventure that will hopefully see me well this spring.
My spring plan is all about transforming a passion for gardening into a beautiful work of art. For my “B. Gardening” submission, I’m sharing this intricate, hand-crafted miniature boat , where the main cabin and even the sail feature delicate, detailed carvings of leaves and floral patterns . The real star, though, is the detailed miniature gardener , who is painstakingly tending to a vibrant flower bed full of tulips and other blooms. This piece is my way of capturing the peaceful, creative, and joyful energy of spring. Happy gardening to all!
My Springtime plans include cleaning, and gardening. I’d love to have a flower filled gazebo, like this one. If I ever become rich, I think I’d stock it with plenty of flowers, tropical plants and my favorite minatures from ROKR and Robotime. I’d like to also take a trip, but not sure which place would be my dream getaway. Usually, we just travel out of state to visit family. On rainy days, I enjoy working on miniature builds. I have a miniature house that has a lot of flowers that I bring out in May. For June, I decorate with my husband’s cuckoo clock. In Summer, I decorate with all my carnival miniatures. Then, in the Fall I’ll use the Edinburgh Castle that I’m going to be starting after Easter.
D: Day trip in Spring
I love visiting old towns and book stores and so I’m planing on doing a day trip to Placerville, California. It’s an hour from South Lake Tahoe and its downtown has antique shops, coffee shops and book stores.
This build that I love, Old Times Bookstore, definitely reminds me of that town. Very warm, welcoming and laid back. Perfect for my spring day trip.
And I also got to visit a little place in the Netherlands called Hattem because I bought a collection of books from someone who lived there. When I was picking them up with my mother we stopped in the center and we thought it just looked lovely.
Living in Vancouver during the cherry blossom season always feels a little magical. The city slowly turns soft pink, and every walk becomes something special. This spring, I feel inspired by B (gardening), especially because of Emily’s Flower Shop. Arranging tiny flowers in my miniature shop reminds me of the blossoms outside. Delicate, colorful, and full of life returning after winter.
I also imagine peaceful C (backyard time), enjoying the gentle sunlight and the quiet beauty of spring, just like the cozy and warm atmosphere inside the flower shop. And of course, a simple day trip in Spring feels essential. Walking under cherry blossom trees, watching petals fall, and feeling completely present in the moment. It’s the same calm and softness I tried to capture in my miniature scene. To me, spring is about these small, beautiful moments, where everything feels light, fresh, and quietly alive again. I’m sharing a photo of my Emily’s Flower Shop build inspired by Vancouver’s cherry blossoms
This is such a beautiful and meaningful story. Thank you for sharing it. I love how you turned it into a calm and special moment with your daughter. The kit looks absolutely adorable too!
I was just wondering, is this an official Pompompurin kit or did you customize it yourself?
