I gotta say this old style kit takes a lot of time. Very different to other newer kits. But I gotta say it is so interesting. ![]()
So so pretty ![]()
but you’ll need a lot of patience
you can do it!
It’s turning out beautiful. It’s definitely a work of patience, but the result is amazing and so worth the effort. ![]()
Open builds looks great!
Yes! They were individual little squares i had to paint and then build the wall with! Next time i would just use thicker glue as the ‘mortar’ and then paint white in between i think but using the wire was clever and fun to try!
Me too! Its own little dust cover!
Thank you! Yes the old style takes a lot longer but i like that about it. When i go to spotlight and drop $70 on a kit, i would much rather the enjoyment last me a week rather than a day. I do really enjoy the new kits too though, they are really fun and i think they have a place in the market too. Im glad to know that Robotime have said they are planning to bring old style kits back!
Its finished! I will take photos shortly and post a new thread! ![]()
Lots of patience but it really did end up amazing! I cant wait to show you all! ![]()
Yes! Total 360° view in the clear tube, its really a great design!

Wow so fast ![]()

It wasnt too fast! It took me about a full week i think and i worked on it for a lot of hours! Haha ![]()
I usually spend days for something simple so you are really fast to me ![]()
Aw i do too, this was more than a week, i went and checked the dates on my older posts.
Maybe im not such a perfectionist though, i have always been like that. An art teacher in high school pointed it out to me when we did fruit bowl sketching. I did it fast, it was good enough you could tell what the fruit was it was passable and the shading was correct, but some of my friends took a really long time to finish because they were being really precise and careful to make sure it was exactly perfect. I just like to enjoy the process and im sure others would do a much more careful and perfect job of their builds compared to mine which would take a lot longer too. ![]()
I completely understand, since I’m one of those people who can spend forever on something just to make it look pretty. But it does get tiring, because you want it to be “perfect” and done fast, and that just doesn’t work hahaha. I really admire those who dedicate themselves more to enjoying the process ![]()

Your art is incredible, i can see that you would spend lots of time on to to create such perfection!
It appears that you may be looking at the angle of the door…which appears to be partially open? @Microgirl
Thank you ![]()
The world needs both kinds of people
I agree!!!
