📖 [Rolife Journey] (Finished) Century Train with added pizzazz

This is definitely one of the funnest builds I’ve ever done. As mentioned in my last post, I know that this is going to be a quick build so I want to make it last a little longer by adding a few things, but I still finished at a good pace.

Things that I added: Sculpted the tunnels using modeling clay. The clay varnish really made the colors come alive.

Next, I “stuccoed” the base of the train using plaster of Paris and acrylic paint for a textured and weathered look. I also changed the color of the rail itself.

I love that all the pieces fit and that I can use this as book ends. Like @TheToday said, it created the illusion of the train going through the books. Seriously, @robotime, you did it again

BONUS: Here’s a video on my IG account. It has a lot more details than the photos I shared. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DVPTCHyknzr/?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==

Sculpting the tunnel out of clay was genuis OMG :sparkles: it added so much depth to the kit!! Such a simple step yet it changed the whole vibe of the train!!

And I’m so glad that you changed the colour of rails because brown rails fit in better than whatever colour it was before ︎︎

Beautiful piece @mchipman

The first time I saw it, I thought that is an actual stone tunnel. You’re very talented on making those clays. I love the result of the train.:pink_heart:
