After doing Sakura Densya, I knew I had to try building the full size tram and since I am waiting for something to come in for the Hot Air Balloon I thought I would dive into Sakura Journey. It was not too difficult of a build, and I am very happy with the build itself. I did end up using glue in a few places but overall this is a complete snap together kit. One thing that did disappoint me is that the front and back of the tram do not have ‘glass’ in them. Just the two sides.
Thanks for sharing! It looks cute and nice and the lights inside of it are giving it a really nice touch.
I’m so looking forward to start building the Sakura themed kits after Christmas for next spring!
This is beautiful! Thanks for including an extra close up photo of the windows! It’s so pretty with the lights. ![]()
That’s so beautiful. Thank for share
Is you have clear plastic you could make it yourself. It is not that hard to do.
I loved this kit so much!
It’s such a beautiful build, even with those tiny details missing. I’m glad you enjoyed it too!
Its lovely! Very well lit up
could you add your own glass for the front and rear windows?
I may go back at some point to add it, but for now it is sitting on my desk while I work making me happy.
Such a lovely piece. Looking at this reminds me of Japan
it is especially beautiful when it is lit. Thank you for sharing your wonderful photos
You could add some. I think it was @Nita_Davis who made her clear walls on one of the flower houses. She used the clear bag that the paper things sometimes come in. I have acetate sheets as well that would work. Or sheet protectors.
Very nicely done! The lights in the tram makes the tam very cozy
I have made “glass” windows from a plastic cups, like this. Or some other similar food container. It will lay flat if you glue it down.
It turned out lovely, BTW. I assume you added the light yourself. I think some rolife models would make good nightlights.
The light came with the kit.
Oh really? Ok.
That is good to know.
Great idea and good to know that they will lay flat. From my Cricut projects, I do have Acetate sheets which I can use, but they are not very cheap. The cup is wonderful idea.
You will need to hold it down with something until the glue dries and it will stay flat. Or find a food container or blister pack that is already flat.
This material is much stronger than the thin acetate. I absolutely recommend.
It’s looking very nice. Love them. You did a great job with it.
