Hello everyone! Just here to post a little 4 am build because my sleep pattern is wrecked after coming off night shift . I took a small intermission from Emily’s flower shop because seeing all your guys’s Christmas builds really inspired me to start some of mine! I decided to start with DS042 Cocoa Shop!
Overall it was a nice short and sweet little build, it took me roughly 2 hours to finish it. There is nothing quite like waking up in the early AM and doing some building in the nice quiet atmosphere before the day starts and everyone wakes up!
Here is a bonus picture of my tree I pulled out yesterday, no decorations yet, I just mostly love the ambience the lit Christmas tree gives off!!
So sweet looking! I am liking those candies with a straw or candy cane thing and bow? Everything looks so fun. That bow for the present is a nice touch too!
I too worked night shift for years and there are days you just dont know what to do-sleep? or stay awake? and sleep later? because you know you are only getting a few days and then back to the grind at night.
That looks absolutely lovely! Waking up early to build in the quiet sounds so peaceful, and the Cocoa Shop turned out great. I love how cozy your Christmas tree looks already — it really sets the mood for the season.
I used to work straight night shift, but now I do 4 days, then 4 days off, and then 4 nights. So I have to get my schedule back to normal but I always end up just waking up in the middle of the night wide awake for a few days on my days off after night shift lol.
Thanks! I splurged and upgraded my tree last year, and it does just look so nice straight out of the box. Telling my husband I won’t decorate it right away is the only way he’ll let me have it up this early!
I was curious how long these mini’s take to finish. I have one I want to build later. I really like this coco shop. I like some of the Christmas designs but not all. This is one i like.
I love the little details so much! I recently picked up this kit in the garden centre and I’m so looking forward to starting it after seeing your amazing work
I feel you, i have a 6 year old daughter too! Also a 4 year old, 13 year old and 15 year old daughters and we homeschool. There are not many quiet seconds in our home, but we wouldnt have it any other way!
I’m sure they will keep you busy. I’m in my 30s and my sister even said I made so much noise every time i’m home. So I could imagine having young kids. Hehehe
