Artificial Intelligence is becoming a powerful tool in every field, making our work easier, faster, and more creative. From design to production, AI helps us explore new ideas, visualize concepts, and refine details with incredible precision.
In the world of miniatures—especially in miniature design—AI can be a great source of inspiration. It helps us experiment with layouts, lighting, colors, and compositions before bringing them to life by hand. While craftsmanship and patience remain at the heart of miniature art, technology can support and enhance our creative process.
For example, Miller’s Garden was one of the first miniatures I purchased from Robotime and built with great joy. Seeing the miniature I created presented in this format makes me incredibly happy every time I look at it, and it motivates me more and more each day to continue creating new miniatures.
I believe the harmony between human creativity and artificial intelligence opens exciting new possibilities.
What do you think about using AI in miniature design and art? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
I’ve started using it to jump start my creativity - I’ll ask it to take an existing book nook and change the theme and elements. While I don’t use the images it generates just yet, I do use it to plan my scenes. I used ChatGPT recently to take a non-Rolife book nook and give it a k-pop theme, and I was surprised at how creative and helpful the suggestions were!
I just ran Dream Gift Factory through to see if I could change it completely, and while it looks a little TOO involved, it did give me some great ideas.
I think it can give us ideas of how we wish something to look. I’m not a bit fan of AI but I do enjoy creating AI art. In my current build I am replacing some of the pictures with some of my AI creations that I love.
Oh I think this is a hard one. I’m not an artist but I can see why there’s some animosity towards it. I wouldn’t mind AI for enhancing or making a quick poster. But I personally would prefer not to buy AI designed arts or kits.
I love seeing Miller’s Garden reimagined like this. AI as inspiration is such an interesting idea, as long as the heart and hands are still ours, it can be a beautiful mix!
