For the Air element, I’m sharing a glimpse of my favorite creative space: my digital sketchbook
My practice canvas is really my ultimate space of freedom. Just like “Air,” these casual sketches allow me to create at my own comfortable pace, following my rhythm without any rules or pressure. I just love the simple joy of playing around with different facial expressions, practicing photo studies, and letting my ideas flow naturally from quick lines to colored portraits. It’s just a wonderful, humble way for me to explore art for the pure happiness it brings. This is where my creative heart feels completely light and free just like what air feels like
These are the first two wooden kits I have ever built: one for myself and the other for a friend. They were easy but I’m happy with the result. Looking at them brings me peace and joy.
Seeing what your your customization gave is very inspiring. I especially like the piano with the blue painting reminding me the blue and yellow colored paintings of Van Gogh.
I think my Sakura Journey symbolizes freedom and it was a great kit to express my imagination. From painting figures to adding fullness to the trees. I love that rolife kits leave room for individual creativity. So here is my version
I have chosen the air theme which corresponds better to my personality.
Before knowing Rolife, I was drawing just for fun.
But all the Whimsical Thursday challenges you posted regularly @Robotime allow me to develop my creativity and imagination. I can stage stories, get inspired by a theme and customize kits to make my creations even more personal. I started it with few kits such as the conventional London bus transformed into a hippie bus, the flying chairs with its little characters and recently the gravity swing ocean fisher with my Superglue bottles attached to the rope. These are the kind of ideas I can have immediately when seeing the kits before turning them into reality. This is just awesome. And I don’t think I would have taken my ideas as far as I did without having joined the Rolife community.
Now, my new personal challenge would be to build a little kit by myself with all the remaining wooden pieces left of from the kits. I have few ideas but I don’t have time to build anything like that for the moment.
Never mind. But I already have all the material needed and ready to be used for my future kits to personalize and my own creations .
God’s creation is just so beautiful. From humanity down to the tiniest creatures. The way He designed everything is incredibly creative and amazing!
One of His greatest creations is the air we breathe. Even though we can’t see it, it is what sustains life for all of us. I wanted to share a couple of Bible verses I came across that beautifully talk about the deeper meaning of air and life:
"And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." — Genesis 2:7 (KJV)
"I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:" — Deuteronomy 30:19 (KJV)
According to these verses, we received the breath of life directly from God. Along with life, He also blessed us with free will, the freedom to choose. But His loving advice is always for us to choose what is good, saying: "choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live."
Since cross-stitching is one of my favorite hobbies, I fell in love with this particular pattern because of its peaceful message.
I actually made this piece while I was pregnant with my daughter. The picture shows a serene environment filled with nature—trees, plants, and beautiful flowers. I felt so much joy while stitching this, feeling very close to my Maker. Since I was already close to my due date back then, I was just so filled with excitement to welcome the precious new life God was about to give us.
