I got a gift from friends, Elsa’s Tayloring. I never would have bought this myself I think, because I thought it would be much sewing and needles and threads and I hate that.
But I decided to make this an experiment, customising and make it the atelier of my mother in law, who was a seamstress.
And it has been so much fun! I used my own fabrics for the main part (old summerpants, old lace-stockings etc). Made a complete new evening dress and a matching hat with voile and tail, made the sewingmachine like a real Singer, changed a lot of fabrics for my fabrics, moved the furniture around, made the signs for my mother in law…
I had so much fun and also satisfaction when something worked out as I wanted it (and a lot of frustration and things to solve when it didn’t). It took me 4 months to complete this kit (I don’t build every day).
And I’m so proud of my first customised kit now!
This is such a lovely kit and you did an amazing job on your customizing @Helga I loved doing a total renovation on mine

I am not good at starting from a blank screen, but I think I am ok with making it my own. I have taken several kits and changed them up to fit my style. Here are examples of a few:
Catherine’s Living room - Changed the walls, the rug, the sofa, fireplace, Throw, and some little pieces.
Another big one for me was the Magic Harp.

The Sakura Tree House definitely felt more airy than any other element. 
The gift factory was the build that i just got lost in and made me realise the type of builds that I love. I only built it because I won it as a raffle prize but now eagerly await the next dream factory build.

I think those were some of my fav customs. But then I look and see others too that I like. I could not pick just one favorite!
Your Sakura Tree House, and the amount of love and creativity you poured into it really shows. Every little custom detail made it uniquely yours. Maybe the resin allergy wasn’t part of the plan 
, but your dedication definitely paid off. It’s such a beautiful reminder that sometimes the most memorable builds are the ones where we aren’t afraid to make them our own.

I was really struggling with the flowers and also the outer frame of Cathy’s Flowerhouse (The Greenhouse). It was also my first build. Gaining inspiration from others in the group i made lots of mods and ended up with this. Removed the front completely so that i could see inside completely and also have the roof be removable give its flexibility. I still want to add more flowers, now that I’ve gained a bit more experience.
