My uncle is a great hunter. He has a small wooden house on the edge of the forest. Inside the house everything is neat and tidy, there is a fireplace, a single bed and many books on hunting skills. Every time he cooks, the aroma makes squirrels and rabbits come to the window to beg for food

It’s a fascinating idea. I imagine this as an old-fashioned youth rental house. I’d have a cat, plant some flowers, eat some canned fruit, and watch TV. The aroma of freshly washed quilts and laundry detergent would be perfect.

I like the little open tin of sprats on the table. It adds a bit of a backstory about the inhabitant of this tiny cabin. But the smell from them must be really strong, haha
