It’s time, folks. I’ve been holding on too long.
Presenting Kae’s Autumn Afternoon Tea ![]()
You open your eyes. The unmistakable aroma of nutmeg and cinnamon fill your nose in a nostalgic way. You find yourself walking toward a small courtyard as you take in the ambiance of the falling orange and yellow leaves. A small black cat greets you, back arched in a friendly stretch, as if inviting you to grab a chair and make yourself at home.
The small, dark friend flicks his tail toward a table of treats - yet another invitation, it seems. The table is set just for you. The courtyard seems to be a cozy place to small creatures, with various home-like structures apparent for a variety of needs and sizes, a guarded spot for preparing for the long winter’s nap ahead.
A delicious-smelling beverage sits warm and ready, as if whoever poured it knew you were coming and prepared your favorite flavors. The delectable drink sits complete with a festive seasonal waffle and fresh fruit.
Up on the roof sits a happy (and chunky!) squirrel, eyeing you curiously as it works away at a fallen pinecone, a chosen treasure. A second black cat hops up on the chair just as you’re about to sit down, eyes locked like lasers on the suspicious critter on the roof. Her tail twitches in anticipation as she watches the squirrel restlessly. Respectful of the feline’s busy job, you opt to take a step back and enjoy your beverage from afar.
It’s clear to you that Autumn has set in. The world around is saturated in orange and red, and the summertime greens are fading to yellows and browns. Small creatures gather snacks for the long hibernation ahead. It’s calm. It’s peaceful. And this is some really good tea.
Happy Autumn Afternoon Tea Time

I had so much fun with this customization challenge, even if this kit is just a lil guy.
I decided to go with a more general fall theme as opposed to any one specific holiday, to celebrate the festivity of the whole season.
I used a bunch of the components from the customization kit, including the yellow and orange leaf litter, the squirrel, a pumpkin, and the acorn fairy house. I also added some of my own assets I acquired from various places (some of the minis I got from Michael’s, namely the super cute pumpkin teapot and mug, I get the little cats from a few different novelty stores around my town).
I also repainted a lot of the assets with acrylic marker (mostly). I really like how the dying leaves of this potted plant turned out (the green leaves are from the kit and I left them alone - the yellowing leaves I altered myself with paint markers). I also repainted the foliage growing on the wall to be less green and more orange/yellow. The little cart, the cloth on the cart, the box on the cart, the waffle, the plate, the door, and the birdhouse all got a repaint.
And, of course, the name plate has been altered to reflect the new theme.
I hope you all enjoy my little Autumn customization entry - this was seriously such a joy to do and I love that it celebrates my favorite time of year. I hope it brings you into a simple, cozy world where you’re reminded of the slow things in life ![]()
