Mercari help

Someone advised me mercari to order an old kit but I don’t understand its use. When I want to order I am sent back to buyee and asked to pay directly. However, how does the payment of delivery etc. work? Can we exchange with the seller before buying?
Could someone enlighten me? Thanks in advance

PS: if you know other sites I am also a taker

As for me, I use a purchasing service.

hi @ana_vlmt I used mercari once but I did not encounter this “Buyee” payment method. Are you using the mercari app? Because they have their own method of payment just like temu, amazon and ebay. I am just not so sure since we are on different country, but it’s a straight forward app and no secondary website to make a payment. You might want to search some more on this before you pay.

Hope you find some helpful answers in the comments!

Thanks for reaching out to me about buyee. For those that don’t know, it is a proxy buyer in the country who will then ship to you for a fee. You purchase the item and then buyee will have it shipped to them. Then you pay the delivery fee to come to you. So it is in a two part system.

Ive bought from Mercari a lot.

I’ve never used Mercari. I usually shop in-store or on Amazon or Vinted. Hope you’re able to figure it out!

I have never heard of ‘mercari’. I hope someone can help you, but if not, then I would suggest err’ing on the side of caution and not proceeding.

Buying through Mercari is safe but you can only do it through a proxy if you’re in Australia.
