My Baby Nanci from the Welcome post arrived just now. She’s soooo cute! I love melon, too. The gradient color in her hair is really pretty. I love the combination of matte (skin) and glossy (head, hair, and bloomers) textures. The tips of her toes and fingers are slightly more pink than the rest of her skin, which makes her look so lifelike. The more and more of these figurines I get, the more impressed I am with the quality of them.
What’s serendipitous about getting this particular Nanci set is that once upon a time in High School (another lifetime ago) I made this little fruit room scene in my Ceramics class. 15+ years later and now Nanci has her very own room that’s perfect for her.
It’s amazing that something you created all those years ago in high school would somehow come full circle and find a perfect little home with Nanci. What a sweet connection between the past and present!
