I recently started building the ROKR MCD04 Deep Sea Adventurer wooden puzzle and I’m really enjoying the process so far. The design is beautiful and the pendulum balance mechanism is fascinating—but I’ve hit a few snags during assembly and could really use some help.
I’m specifically looking for:
A step-by-step video tutorial or time-lapse of the build
Tips for assembling the moving parts (like the propeller and periscope)
Advice on how to avoid breaking the smaller pieces when removing them from the boards
If anyone has built this model before or knows where I can find a detailed guide or video, I’d be super grateful! Even general advice for ROKR pendulum series kits would be helpful.
I didn’t make this build but the tip for the smaller builds is to remove them with a small hobby knife. If you such for it by need help you can find some articles, good luck
Welcome to the group! As previously stated, using a razor knife to cut the tabs holding the pieces in will help to avoid breakage. You can see them much easier from the back side. I don’t think there is a tutorial available yet for this model, but there is also a Facebook group where people help with questions such as these. It is called ROKR Official Fans Group. I wish you the best in getting the answers you need.
Do you have a picture of the kit? If you type the name of the kit on YouTube, u usually find a tutorial. If you dont have a sharp nice then always press the parts oit feom the back, you wil have less damage to the top layer of the part
We sincerely apologize that we do not yet have an official assembly video with detailed steps. Here are the assembly pictures for the propeller and periscope steps. Please pay attention when installing — do not apply too much force, as excessive force may cause the wooden parts to break.
