I think Im addicted! Now what do I do with them all?

Hey everyone. I’ve just completed my third build and I must say I’m hooked! What a great way for me to step away from screens in the evenings and focus on something creative and fun. My first was the Dream Gift Factory, then the Gramophone and I just now finished the globe. Next up: the pinball machine!

My question is where do you display all these cool builds? The gift factory will only come out at Christmas, so that’s easy. I gave the Gramophone to my daughter who has tons of vinyl records (she LOVES it!). The globe is a handy nightlight. But I see many more builds in my future. Show me your displays!

Thanks!

Hellooo, welcome to the community. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: It seems you love complicated kits like Rokr. I display my kits on a big cabinet with multiple layers with my other collection. I only just built few kits.

I bought a display cabinet just for this. I’m working on putting it up soon. Most likely in my living room away from the sun.

Otherwise I’ve given away a few throughout the years.

Welcome to the community! We are all addicted here ahahaha, one way or another. That being said, there are lots of options to showcase your beautiful work. You can get use floating shelves, Hutches, Kalax IKEA shelves or their Billy Book cases…. Rolife also sells cover displays. Your world is your oyster I am sure you will find something cool to use for your growing collection. The Dream gift Factory has. ROKR case that makes it looks extra cool when displayed.

Welcome to the community @Debbie_McCormick

Most of my builds are Christmas themed so they are tucked away in a cabinet for now. And I have not yet found a good spot for my other creations yet.

Hi and welcome @Debbie_McCormick
I am running into the same issue! I have done 32 kits and given about 8 away as gifts. I did carefully pack my Christmas ones. But have found I needed to move some of my other things to make room. My husband actually told me to buy another shelf unit!

I don’t really have a problem with it. It is mostly about building them for me. I don’t have the space to keep them all.

Welcome to the community, @Debbie_McCormick!! You’re definitely in the right place, the addiction is real! Display shelves, cabinets… work great, and giving some as gifts is always a lovely idea (it’s the think that I do the most). Can’t wait to see your pinball and future builds

Thank you all so much for the warm welcome. I can already tell that I belong here! I’ll let you in on a secret. I have a professional tech career of many years that I truly enjoy and I’m proud of. However, I’ve secretly loved putting things together. My family jokes that I should work at IKEA and build the showroom displays :joy:. These kits have helped me to break away from the 3 screens on my desk, the endless zoom meetings, and being swallowed by everything involved with the business. I love my new evening routine of cooking dinner, then sitting down to work on a ROKR build. (while my husband cleans up the dinner dishes). Truly makes me happy.

Welcome to the group of addicts. I’ve put my builds in a cabinet I bought specifically for this purpose. Since I always spend a long time on a build (about a month), I’m good to go for a while

I love this! When I was younger I actually went to school for auto mechanics. I loved putting things together and making them work. (didnt hire many women back then so went into nursing to fix people) As my kids were growing it was always my job to build the toys for Christmas. Amd now my grandchildren love to build with Grandma - legos, lincoln logs, anything. These are right up my alley!
