[Heartwarming] He/She Projects Complete

This post is long overdue  Life has been busy lately with my son taking his Kindergarten exam then hosting my husband’s birthday last weekend. So yes, so busy that I haven’t get the chance to post about our projects

Previously He and She Builds

We have actually finished our builds last Easter weekend.

We both were able to finish our builds in 2 hours. They were so fun to assemble. It’s both our first time to work on a plastic mechanical build.

I can’t really share what my husband did because I was busy with my own so I will only be sharing my process in building the Starry Camellia.

First step was to build the base/vase of the flower. This is where the mechanism will be hidden. Instructions were straight forward and easy to follow.

Once that was done, the flower was next. The kit has provided wax which you will apply on the stem so the petals can be snapped on easily. The clicking sound when attaching each petal is so satisfying

Once the flower is completed, I then attached it to the stem that’s connected to the base. And That’s it!

You can adjust the brightness of the light by moving the snail which is such a cool feature.

The flower is suppose to breath - meaning it should open and close but it’s not really doing much of that in my opinion. Maybe I messed up something somewhere but I’m not sure.

My only cons for this is that I wish it has a rechargeable power source. It would be a lovely night lamp is it was rechargeable.

I have yet to take a video of this in action. I will post it once I get a chance. Thanks for reading my post

Not sure why it would need to be rechargeable when it plugs into a USB-C cord for electric. It looks so pretty. Mine doesn’t work right either.

I’ve never made plastic flowers before. But the moving animal and insect models are really interesting.

It is so wonderful to see you and your husband finding time to bond over these builds amidst such a busy schedule. Congratulations to your son on his Kindergarten exam and a happy belated birthday to your husband as well. We are thrilled that you both enjoyed your first experience with our plastic mechanical kits and finished them so quickly.

What a lovely lamp. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: I will be wishing the same thing too. It’s lovely to make it as a night lamp but unfortunately, it’s battery operated I think.

It looks lovely. I guess you could always plug it into a power bank if you wanted it to go somewhere that your cable couldn’t reach.

I like how the flower turned out even though it is not really my thing. The manta ray looks cool as well. Good job both of you!

Never heard of a kindergarden exam. Sounds strict hahha. So sweet that you build this for each other. You sounds like a amazing couple

It’s a competitive school where her sister currently goes. They only admit 40 kids out of thousands that apply, so wish us luck. Results will be out on May 15 so keeping our fingers crossed till then.
