Some good news arrived at our home today! 
I was lucky enough to win this Rolife London Tour Bus from the Children’s Day Special, The Joy of Building Memories Contest, and I couldn’t help but smile when I realized how perfectly the prize matches the theme of the contest. Because now, I get to build even more memories with my children.
When we opened the package, the excitement on their faces was priceless. We immediately started talking about when we could build it, who would work on which parts, and where we would display it once it’s finished. To some people, this may look like just a wooden puzzle kit. But for us, it’s another opportunity to spend time together, share stories, laugh over little mistakes, and enjoy being present with one another.
What I love most about activities like this is that they help children develop important life skills while having fun:
- Builds patience – Great things take time, and assembling tiny pieces teaches kids that not everything happens instantly.
- Improves focus and concentration – Following instructions and finding the right pieces helps strengthen their attention to detail.
- Encourages problem-solving – Every challenge becomes an opportunity to think, learn, and figure things out together.
- Boosts confidence – Seeing a project slowly come to life gives children a wonderful sense of accomplishment.
- Creates meaningful family bonding – Most importantly, it gives us quality time together and memories that will last far longer than the finished build itself.
As a parent, I know these moments won’t last forever. My children are growing up so quickly, and that’s why I treasure every chance we get to sit around the table and create something together. Years from now, I may not remember every single piece we assembled, but I know I’ll remember their excitement, their laughter, and the memories we made while building it. This London Tour Bus will eventually become part of our collection, but the time spent together will always be the most valuable thing we create.
