Had gone through a couple of ideas in my head about how to display builds as they accumulate.
Separated them according to different types and realized that the shape of book nooks made them easier to store and display, as the sides would naturally act as a sort of protective display box for the contents within.
For the other irregularly shaped ones, if they go without a protective cover, they will need to be spaced out on a display shelf. The downside is that you can’t have too much clutter around them or miscellaneous items may fall onto the builds. Also not sure whether they would be prone to collect dust.
Also, before starting a kit, may need to consider the size of the final product and whether it can fit into the designated space for it.
Im having a lot of trouble with displaying my miniature rooms because of this. I dont have dust covers because there have been none to buy locally and when i did an online order i forgot to add any so i will wait until i do another order but i was also thinking of making some sort of enclosed shelf like one @Liset has made!
Great point! Book nooks really are the easiest to display. My problem is that I have a lot of books, and I don’t like all the book nooks being together, so I spread them out on different shelves and mix them with miniatures. As for the miniatures, I keep some between books and others on square shelves like the Ikea Billy, along with a few decorations or in front of some books. I only have a few with dust covers, so they don’t take up too much space.
