Question for all of the DIY mini house fans. Making these folded books is tough. Do y’all have any tricks up your sleeve to make them easier? maybe @Wenbare ?
Same here! Those mini books always get me.
As a person with obsessive compulsive disorder, you can’t do this, please, finish it for him quickly! ! ! !
YES! Good grief! Try as I may pressing them each way against a perfectly square surface…it just never works out the way I want it to. I DO know that you MUST start at the end with the cover and fold that one inwards. @Noah
That’s rough. These things are very hard to make perfect, though I try.
Lol, I hear you! These folded books are tough. Honestly, I’m still figuring it out myself. Might need to bring in a pro for this one! Anyone else got any tips?
@Lisa_Miller …I am a pro at painting…Apparently folding is NOT my forte. This is why I tagged a seasoned DIY builder. Hopefully she can help up us both out. Welcome to the group!
I remember someone in the community shared a glue that worked very well. Maybe you can use the same glue.
Hi there! I love make books and flowers . Once you get the hang of it and start trying out little tricks to make it easier, it becomes really satisfying. For the books, I use different things: to fold the “pages” or anything made of paper, I use a ruler and the tool in the photo—it’s kind of like an awl. I press gently to score the paper, so I can fold it exactly how I want without it tearing. Since it’s paper, the easiest way to glue the pages is with white glue (which I apply using a silicone-tipped brush) or a glue stick.
I hope I’ve been helpful!
@Wenbare …thank you so much. I will find a similar tool. Much appreciated!
