I finally bought the Space shuttle mechanical! Ive been wanting it for quite awhile and have seen people say its a troublesome kit or is quite difficult for a beginner, but i am going to try it out for myself in a few weeks and have 2 more wooden puzzles coming soon..including the christmas tree mechanical and the Sakura treehouse…lets say my bank account is £85 down :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::face_holding_back_tears::heart_hands:

Thanks! I did try to get the kits for cheaper so i won all the christmas tree and Space shuttle on ebay bidding and the sakurs treehouse was bought for £19.99

This is an amazing model. Follow instructions down to the letter and be sure to sand and wax well. Once I got past the initial testing (which took me about 30 attempts), it was smooth sailing.

Thank you for the tips, i didnt know you had to sand anything down but i definetly will do it :heart_hands:

If you don’t sand AND wax, you will not have a working model

Yes, if you are inexperienced with wooden models, this one is definietely going to be a challenge.

Just make sure to sand and wax the sliding part well as it makes or brakes your build.
