Welcome! In my experience, the easiest way is to use a very small amount of glue and apply it with something precise, so it doesn’t spread too much or leave marks. I also try to hold the pieces in place for a little while so they don’t shift while drying.
Also, one thing I really like about the Robotime dust covers is that they don’t need glue.
