I continued with the coffee cup turntable. The highlight is that instead of the fake wooden cups or those other companies have used, Rolife chose plastic ones. They look much more lifelike and realistic.

I had to make sure they were securely attached, because anything loose would hinder movement and be very difficult to fix.
Next were the gears. This is the extremely important part because everything moves smoothly. I had to apply a lot of wax and check repeatedly to make sure everything was okay. These parts are always at the bottom, so any mistakes would be very difficult to fix.

Finally, it’s pretty much done. I’ll take a break and come back later. Maybe tomorrow because today is my birthday.

Happy birthday to you! I have never seen this model…but I am sure it will be perfect. Sanding and waxing are SO important with moving parts.

I even paint the plastic as I did on the teacups ride… I cannot wait for this one to be released in the USA.

Painting is a great idea. Using stickers would also work.

Stickers were not provided for the teacups so I made them unique on my own. Customized Tilt A Whirl

Looks great. I’ve made this model before. I only colored the frames around the cups, not the cups themselves. I was worried the plastic wouldn’t hold the paint well.
