[DIY & Creativity] Update 3 on the bridal nook

I worked a bit on the chandelier and the arched mirror today since it rained pretty much all day. I strung the 65 beads onto a piece of fishing line first so that it would be easier to place them around the arch. It also made it impossible for me to glue one on and have the hole on the top showing up randomly. I would’ve hated seeing that. It worked very well for me. I have pre-assembled all 100 pieces of the chandelier. Now I need to attach all of those little sections to the fixture itself. There are 32 pre-made sections that have to go on to that. I might take a break from this and work on the dress or maybe some flowers for a while. I will be doing a bit of customizing on the dress…as I am missing one piece of white glossy paper.

Write look at those pieces for the chandelier. It’s going to be pretty

The pieces look cute :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Wow i had no idea this kit had such fiddly yer beautiful details,it is hard to see from just the picture on the box. You are doing a fab job. I love the way you have thought about making a complex problem easier by threading the beads such a clever idea. Can’t wait to see more.

It’s looking great! Those pieces definitely look difficult to build with but you did an excellent job shaping them.

I love what you did on the arch. It’s brilliant to use a fishing line for the beads. I think it’s also better so that the beads will not fall easily. Nicely done.

Those beads will turn in to a beautiful Chandelier! Wow. and you will soon be the chandelier queen!

Thanks. @Tricia12 It will be a lot of work…but well worth it.

You have far more patience than me Nita. Although I have this kit coming up, I’m going to customise the heck out of it I think.
And I’m waiting now until my daughter’s dress is completed and she goes for her final fitting, then I’m going to ask if I can have some of the off cuts from any alterations to use on the dress in the nook.

They will be fabulous once they are all together.

What a job you have! Hang in there!

Thanks so much. @Carmie Yes, this one is completely DIY

Those chandeliers look so pretty. And that arch with beads look lovely too

Thanks so much. @Zoe_Lau The wire is very flexible so it was easy to get the shape right…BUT I will have to adjust them in later steps because any pressure when adding more pieces will bend them out of shape.

That is exactly what I wanted to avoid. Now they are all stuck together. @serenebliss_23

Eh, we shall see…This wire bends very easily, so sometimes that is not a good thing. @jeanneL

You’re creative to think such a great idea. I guess I will not think of the ideas that you’ve thought since I mostly follow what just the instructions told me to do.

Wow, that is some serious dedication!
