I recently took a break (not sure if you’d call it that since it has only been a couple of days since I completed the Music Dreamer Sunset Carnival) from crafting miniatures and painted on my itty-bitty watercolor book - well, some habits are just hard to break.
And though it was a fun change of pace and a nice way to recharge my creativity, I have to be honest - I find it hard to stay away from building miniatures for long (again … just days feels too long)!
The excitement got the better of me, so I spun my project wheel again to decide what kit I’d build next. The result? Sakura Densya!
This will be my third Rolife book nook kit, and I can’t wait to get started. The cherry blossoms, train scene, and cozy atmosphere already have me imagining how beautiful it will look on my shelf.
But before I begin, do you have any ideas or suggestions for personalizing the kit?
Just like some of my kits, I’d love to make this build uniquely mine as well (I forgot to ‘personalize’ the music dreamer), so any suggestions are welcome. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
Wow! Your painting is so beautiful @Gidge wish I can paint like that
The Sakura Densya sure is a lovely build but I found it challenging. Some pieces don’t easily snap together, so extra patience is needed. Have fun building!
I have always loved watercolor paintings and your work is absolutely beautiful! I don’t know enough about this model to give you any advice for customizing but I am sure you will figure out something amazing to add to it.
Your painting is beautiful!! It’s really so lovely and cute and tiny
I haven’t done that build yet so I’m not sure about customizing. Maybe adding a little sakura tree or the pink fluff (idk what to call it) that comes on top of the tree would be really cool
I love your water color paintings. I don’t know that particular kit, so I’m not sure what exactly you could customize. But I’m sure you will find something when you start building.
Sometimes when a kit is looking really good on its own, I choose not to customize anything. But of course that is personal taste
You have a point. Maybe i’ll leave it as is if i couldn’t think of the right thing to make it more mine. I’m also worried i’ll ruin it if i force something on it
