My DIY universe started with a single miniature, but it didn’t stay that way for long.
What began as a fun hobby has gradually spread throughout my home and become part of the spaces where I spend my time every day. My collection now includes miniature houses, book nooks, Super Creators, story frames, and framed wall displays.
Most of my collection is displayed in our family room, where an entire mantel and several shelves have been transformed into a miniature world. It has become a place where family and guests often stop to look at the tiny details and discover something new.
Even my home office has been claimed by the hobby. Since I work from home, a bookshelf beside my desk has become the perfect place to display many of my book nooks and smaller builds. It makes the workday a little more fun when I can glance over and see projects I’ve completed.
One of my favorite things about this hobby is that every build holds a memory. Some taught me new techniques, some challenged my patience, and some became favorites because of the tiny details hidden inside. Looking around the room, I can remember something special about almost every piece.
Putting together my Instagram post for this event made me realize just how much these tiny worlds have become part of my home and daily life.
For true collectors, the collection is never really finished, and mine certainly isn’t. There are still plenty of kits on my wishlist and a few spaces waiting for future builds.
