Cheap finds at Ross in Hawaii

I kept seeing posts about people finding Rolife miniature kits at Ross, so naturally… I had to try my luck! And voila! They really do have them here in Hawaii! All kits are $29.99 each.

These are just some of the kits I spotted, and of course, I got super excited when I also saw Nanci blind boxes!

Since I already have these kits, I showed a little self-control and only bought one kit from a different brand. And honestly, I’m not going to complain about getting it for only $11.99! That’s a miniature bargain in my book!

Now I’m thinking… maybe I should visit the other Ross branches around the island. Who knows? I might get lucky and come home with another diy miniature haul!

On a side note, I cannot check out without these cuties! My next goal: just stay home and enough with shopping

Because apparently, having a shelf full of unopened kits doesn’t stop me from hunting for more. It just makes the hunt more exciting!

I have been reading a lot about people finding them as well. I went into the Ross store near my mom’s house today and they only had one model. The globe which I have already completed and it was $40. I was extremely bummed. You found some really great deals

I haven’t checked out Goodwill yet or Salvation Army. They might also have some, if I am lucky.

I have never found one at our Goodwill. I don’t think we have a Salvation Army here but I should probably check around. It is a pretty large city that I live in

Sometimes I do see people sell at facebook marketplace. I bought one before, the box was already opened and it has a missing piece. So now I learned my lesson not to buy an opened box lol. Better the ones that are still sealed.

Wow!!! I used to frequently go to Ross when they still have a store near my workplace but unfortunately they closed it down last year.

Some people, i heard tried the hobby and glued a piece of furniture and gave up lol. They think that this hobby is complicated. My dad wanted to try them too but he said that his hands are already shaking and his eyes not good anymore for tiny things. Lol i can understand why. This hobby is not for all. I am just glad that it brought me happiness and a reason to smile now.

You are correct. This hobby is not for everyone. Even all of my old classmates say that they would never have the patience for them…yet they love seeing mine.

I bought one off of FB Marketplace,and never got it! Scammer! So, I don’t buy there anymore. I stick to Vinted and Mercari mostly.

I started the kit because I am too curious. It’s a thick pieces of wood as well. Goodluck to my hands again. Have to struggle with pushing the pieces together lol. I am almost halfway and the colors are pretty!
