That is quite strange. It almost looks like a chandelier sideways with a top and bottom!?
I have no clue what it is @jeanneL
The details of this kit is just lovely. I really liked it. You have made a really good progress there
Thanks so much @Jerry_Boswijk . I am not liking this one much…but I will persevere.
Some of the DIY kits are sooo hard because the size of them. I feel like this would be too small for me. It’s super cute but I don’t think this kit would be for me either. You got this tho!! Are you gonna complete it you think?
Ha! Thanks @Tricia12 .I feel like I haven’t got anything done…LOL!
Just take it slowly, give it a break and then come back. it kinda feel like that with mini mini mini kits.
It absolutely has to be done that way. I will finally have the kitchen done today. YAY! Thanks for your encouragement @Tricia12
I enjoy the minis but they are quite frustrating too. This looks rather cute.
We shall see. I got the plastic on my 10 windows and there will be 10 lights in here as well. I think I will finish my kitchen today…First room done…maybe LOL! @Cozy.little.palette
Hahah hey that’s still progress!! Ooo I can’t wait to see the kitchen. Definitely send photos
slowly but surely you’re getting somewhere!
Moving like a herd of turtles on this one…

This was a tough one for me because my second floorboard panel was totally warped! Nothing squared off quite right after that.
But the end result is really pretty on this one and its sister Cherry Blossom House (enjoy! It is both maddening and fun).
(I did not end up putting up all the curtains…why hide the intricate scenes inside when you’ve spent so much time on them!?)
Oh no…That would have been SO frustrating. I just finished my kitchen/dining area and I wish I had left the curtains out. It is hard to tame the frayed ends on satin material. @NoodleSalad
Right? Yes, me too. I spent so much time on that kitchen and then couldn’t see any of my chair cushions which were a NIGHTMARE!
That kit was a real challenge. I wish you strength and patience!
I changed my seat cushions 3 times. Those felt pieces were NOT working out. I found some yellow spacers I had from previous kits, cut my yllow flowered fabric after gluing and found that to be much easier. For the bottom piece, I threw away the felt, wrapped my yellow a few times but didn’t like seeing the white piece at the bottom. I threw those away and glued my yellow flowered fabric right to the chair…LOL. I am finding lots of ways to “improvise” on this one. The grey brick that they wanted me to wrap around each piece?
That was a hard no…pulled out my trusty kitchen sponge, grey paint and made it look like stone.
@NoodleSalad I can’t believe I’ve spent the better part of an hour building a telescope. UGH.
So smart with the gray brick painting! It’s hard to get those sheets glued down flatly on the back on top of the mess of wires, anyway. Love your seat cushion method, too. I wish I had read your very detailed and helpful account of your build six months ago! I would have saved myself a lot of frustration…
It’s a slog but I really believe your final house will be fantastic. I’m excited to follow along here!
That is like your mantra, you will persevere. Or like the song, I will survive!
Yes, I will @jeanneL
