[Challenge & Achievement] Lovin' My Miller's Garden

Presenting one of my first builds. It may not be as perfect as I want it to be. It was a learning experience for me.

I can say that this is one of the reasons why I got hooked with older versions. It may be painstaking, but I really enjoyed making the flowers piece by piece.
Unlike the newer version, I needed to cut and glue each petal, each leaf. It took a while but I was not rushing and taking my sweet time.

Even the straw hat had to be cut, glue the paper twine which took a long time to dry.
I remembered that I had trouble making the lantern. Looking at the picture, I can still see myself as a novice (still am  ). Now, that I know better, I will be retouching the white parts so it wont be noticeable.

I love how the flowers turned out. Proud of them!
Tip: I used brown air dry clay to make the flowers stand upright.

And lastly, here’s my ever goofy son admiring it.

Just happy to share one of my builds.

I agree. I feel proud and happy whenever I see it. It is actually the first kit I would show to my friends whenever I tell them about my hobby.

WOW! Excellent job! I recall having to make a small basket from straw. Very time consuming. You did so good! I can’t wait to see more of your models.

absolutely! My house guests would notice it first. You can see that each flower was manually cut and glued together.

What a beautiful kit! I’m doing millers garden next and I can’t wait. I love all the details in your kit too! Thank you for sharing the tip about the clay, I will probably have to try that.

You can never go wrong with the clay! It will make the plants stand upright rather than just gluing them, which will just tilt and fall.

Have fun!

Thank you!! In previous kits, my flowers always fall over and I get so frustrated so I’m for sure going to try that this time.

Your Miller’s Garden build sounds like such a rewarding journey, especially taking the time to glue each petal and leaf by hand. The detail with the straw hat and paper twine really shows your dedication. Keep enjoying these lovely challenges, your passion truly shines through!

That’s a lot of flowers! :blossom: it looks amazing.

I think you did really well on this one. I would not have the patience to make all those flowers . When I see the flowers and all the other details in this kit, I can only say you did great!

I do remember that I sort of complained to my husband about doing the flowers because they were so tiny. But once you assemble them together, I felt encouraged to finish it. hahaha
